'Ronioci', Šumski's fourth album, is now available on vinyl for the first time. The album cover has been redesigned by Tomislav Vranić Vrana, incorporating Darko Kujundžić's original design and Igor Hofbauer Hof's illustrations from the original CD, along with additional archival analog photographs of the band from that era by Marko Čaklović. The album was originally released by Zvuk Močvare, and now Geenger Records and PDV Records join the adventure.
Šumski are one of the most renowned Croatian alternative bands. Formed in Zagreb in 1991, they have been recognized from the outset as one of the most unique acts on the scene. Playing and drawing inspiration far from the then-popular genre confines, Šumski creates their own musical universe full of experimentation and unexpected arrangements, blending kraut rock, world music, psychedelia, new wave, music from animated films, noise, and avant-garde pop.
A significant milestone in the band's work, the album 'Ronioci', originally released in 2003, was the first to feature Viktor Krasnić on drums. Since then, Viktor, along with Marin Juraga and Kornel Šeper, has become a cornerstone of the band. The album's sound was also defined by the analog synthesizers of Hrvoje Nikšić Nikša, who mastered the album for this vinyl reissue.
