Coma Stereo was founded in 2004 in Maribor, Slovenia. The music can be described as a dark blend of live ambiental electronica and guitar driven songs with a dynamic rhythm section, with inspiration from older science fiction movies and books, Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth and Tangerine Dream. Part of members have been playing simultaneously in such bands as Nina Bulatovix and Dinozaver. Coma Stereo also run a Slovenian independent music label, booker and promoter Solar Pulse Music.
1000 mest is Coma Stereo's third full length album, first one with lyrics in slovene and first one for Kapa Records.
